Supporting,  encouraging and mentoring women who are current or aspiring recreational and professional pilots in the greater San Diego area. The goals of the Ninety-Nines organization are:

• Friendship Through Flight
• Flight Training Scholarships
• Aviation Education in the Community
• Preserve the History of Women in Aviation

The San Diego Chapter generally meets on the 4th Saturday of the month,  at Gillespie/KSEE or Montgomery/KMYF airports.  For meetings at the Gillespie Airport Speer hangars,  enter the parking lot on 2090 N.  Marshall and follow the "99s" signs.  (Any aspiring or current non-member aviatrix is welcome to drop by and meet us!)  To find out more about future meetings and events or directions,  see our Calendar of Events or E-mail us.

• May 19th *Date change!* Armed Forces Day at 10:00 a.m., Guest speaker is Captain Shoshanna Chatfield, USN, Navy helicopter pilot. Other 99's Chapters around Southern California will be flying in for this event via fixed wing and helos. Held at Fran Bera's hangar (Speer Hangars), Gillespie Field. See above for directions.
• June 1st - Av Education Day at WoG, volunteers appreciated to introduce kids to aviation at this A-STEM event hosted by our SD99s chairwoman. Contact Annette to get involved!
• June 1-3rd Wings Over Gillespie Airshow - SD99s will be volunteering, working our booth and flying in this years airshow. Come out for the fun! 
• June 9th - Annual potluck and new officer installation 4pm @ Fran's hangar.
  
• July 11th -15th - Ninety-Nines 2012 Int'l Conference Marriott Providence Downtown, Providence, Rhode Island

• January 31st- SD99s Marian R. Delano Memorial $1,500 Must have a pilot certificate to apply. Download an application.
  
• April 1st- SD chapter 99s Dottie Sanders Memorial $1,000 Must have a pilot certificate to apply. Download a Flight Scholarship application
  
• April 1st- Ninety-Nines International $1,500 New Pilot Award for Associate (student pilot) members
• June 15th- Leo March Aviation Scholarship, (See our flight Scholarships page for a snail mail contact)
  
• September 30th- SD99s Student Pilot $1,000 award, aspiring Private Pilots only. Download a Flight Scholarship application.
  
• October 1st - Coyote Country 99s Flight Scholarship
• October 1st - Santa Barbara 99s Flight Scholarship
• November 30th - SD Antique Aircraft Assn Flight and A&P scholarships
  
• December 1st- Ninety-Nines International Amelia Earhart Flight Scholarship for an entire rating or advanced pilot certificate
• December 1st- Ninety-Nines International Jet Type Rating Scholarship
• December 31st- SD 99s Darlene Kelly Advanced Pilot Scholarship - $2,000. Download an application
