The San Diego Chapter generally meets on the 4th Saturday of the month, at Gillespie/KSEE or Montgomery/KMYF airports. For meetings at "FRAN'S" at the Gillespie Airport Speer hangars, enter the parking lot on 2090 N. Marshall and follow the "99s" signs. First Friday of the Month - "Fly Days", 5:30pm at the KSEE Cafe, hosted by our friends at Air Group 1. Food & drink specials, live music and a female aircraft
October MCAS Miramar V-22 Osprey Helicopter simulator tour **Postponed due to gov't sequestration** Only those on a preapproved list will be permitted entrance at the gate.
October 19-20th *DATE CHANGE* - Fly Out to Redlands An overnight trip with a tour of Hangar 24 Craft Brewery followed by a BBQ/pizza oven party hosted by a fellow 99. RSVP to Whitney by Oct 11th!

November 23rd - 10am @ Fran's with special guest aviation historian Gary Fogel, Gary Fogel speaking about his new book, Quest for Flight- John J. Montgomery and the Dawn of Aviation in the West. It covers the accomplishments of Montgomery (namesake of KMYF!), a prolific inventor who piloted the glider he designed in 1883 in the first controlled flights of a heavier-than-air craft in the Western Hemisphere 20 years before the Wright brothers powered flight in 1903.
December 8th - Holiday Party @ Fran's Please RSVP to the eVite and bring a side dish to share and an aviation themed ornament or gift for the Gift Game.
January 25th - 99s Winter Workshop 9:00a-4:30p in lieu of a regular chapter gathering, attendance is requested at the 99s Southwest Section Winter Workshop @ KCRQ. Fly (or drive) to Carlsbad to attend this event. If you want to plane share and fly in, contact Whitney. $25 registration for workshop includes lunch.
