The San Diego Chapter meets on the 4th Saturday of the month, at Gillespie/KSEE or Montgomery/KMYF airports. Unless a different location is noted, meetings are at "Fran's Hangar" at the Gillespie Airport Speer hangars. Enter the parking lot on 2090 N. Marshall and follow the "99s" signs. First Friday of the Month - "Fly Days", 5:30pm at the Gillespie Field/KSEE Cafe next door to Anglo American Aviation, hosted by our friends at Air Group 1. Food & drink specials, & live music!
January 15, 2015 - 5:30pm Social Hour @94th Aero Squadron 8885 Balboa Ave. Networking, hangar flying with drink specials, appertizers and a full menu available. Thursday is $5 martini night. Also early bird dinner specials .
January 24, 2015 - Fly Out event! Southwest Section 99s Winter Workshop @KCMA/Camarillo Airport Admin Building, 9am-4pm. Got a spare seat in your airplane? Some also are planning on taking the Coaster to Ventura. Contact Whitney about ride share options.
February 28th 10am @Fran's - Guest Speaker WASP Jean Landis, one of the 1,074 Women's Airforce Service Pilots who flew many different types of aircraft during WWII. We will view a documentary about Jean, and then she will share her love of flying and tell of her many experiences as a woman serving as a pilot in times so different for women than exist today.
